In 2022, the CGCM collected more than 2,700 pieces (sets) of objects, covering jade, ceramics, embroidery, coins, metalware, lacquerware and woodware, bone, horn and ivory objects, modern and contemporary historical data and physical evidence, inscriptions and rubbings, animal specimens and other categories. To make the new collections more accessible for the public to appreciate and study, the CGCM has selected over 40 representative pieces (sets) out of them for the exhibition Every Little Helps a Mickle: The 2022’s Collection Exhibition of the China Grand Canal Museum.
