Within this collection are both esteemed palace heirlooms and significant archaeological discoveries. The CGCM houses an array of rare and exquisite artifacts across a broad spectrum of categories from every dynasty. These categories include bronze, jade, ceramics, gold and silver items, bamboo, wood, and ivory carvings, lacquerware, brocade and embroidery, calligraphy, paintings, seals, tablet inscriptions, and sculptures. Each category has its own unique historical significance, acting as a firsthand witness to the progression of Chinese civilization over thousands of years.
