In the afternoon of May 22, the Party branch of the CGCM invited Song Yan, deputy to the National People’s Congress (NPC) and executive deputy director of Nanjing Oriental Metropolitan Museum, to deliver a special Party tutorial titled “Shoulder Greater Responsibility and Lead the Way Ahead” in order to promote the thematic education of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. This event was attended by more than 50 people, including members of the leadership team, middle-level cadres, all on-the-job Party members and active applicants for Party membership.

Director Song Yan conveyed the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s series of important speeches during the first session of the 14^th NPC, with a focus on the spirit of the remarks of “sticking to the top priority of pursuing high-quality development” stressed by General Secretary Xi Jinping during a deliberation with the Jiangsu delegation. She also shared the process of producing resolutions on the work reports of the Standing Committee of the NPC and the State Council, the Supreme People’s Court, and the Supreme People’s Procuratorate and gave an introduction to the main activities and deliberations of the Jiangsu delegation.

Zheng Jing, the Party branch secretary and director of the CGCM, stated that all Party cadres in the museum should seize the significant opportunity presented by this thematic education to apply what they have learned in practice, act on their beliefs, and turn the Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era into a powerful force for strengthening ideals, enhancing Party consciousness, guiding practice, and advancing their work. They should maintain unified thinking, firm determination, coordinated actions, and strong ability, striving to achieve tangible results in soul-building, knowledge enhancement, integrity promotion, and practical advancement through learning.

This special Party tutorial is the first of its kind for the thematic education reading class of the CGCM. All participants expressed that this tutorial was enlightening and inspiring, providing both political depth and theoretical insights. It enabled them to gain a deeper understanding of the spirit of the Two Sessions (annual plenary sessions of the NPC and of the CPPCC) while grasping the importance of thematic education on studying and implementing the spirit of the 20^th CPC National Congress and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. They pledged to turn the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics into a powerful force for strengthening ideals, enhancing Party consciousness, and guiding practice. Furthermore, they committed to enhancing the quality and efficiency of their work by adopting broader perspectives, stricter standards, and more pragmatic approaches.
