The Grand Canal basin in China is known for its rich biodiversity. The Grand Canal flows from north to south, traversing the North China Plain and the plains of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. It connects the five major water systems of the Haihe, Yellow, Huaihe, Yangtze, and Qiantang Rivers, spanning across both temperate and subtropical zones. The canal nurtures the survival and reproduction of a variety of animals and plants, creating a complex and harmonious ecosystem that showcases a vibrant natural wilderness.
This exhibition featuring 38 bird species serves to showcase the natural beauty of birds, disseminate scientific knowledge, and highlight the diverse ecosystems of the Grand Canal and its surrounding areas. Through this exhibition, our aim is for visitors to experience the beauty and freedom that birds and nature communicate to us, to evoke deep humanistic sentiments, to foster a sense of responsibility for their protection, and to advocate harmonious coexistence between humanity and the natural world.
