Chapter I Admission to Membership
Article 1 To become a member of the CGCM, you can apply through the CGCM’s membership mini program called “CGCM Membership” (运博会员) on its official WeChat account “China Grand Canal Museum” (中国大运河博物馆) by submitting your real-name information for authentication. Upon approval, you will receive an electronic membership card, officially making you a member of the CGCM. If you have any questions, please feel free to call (0514-82773088) or visit service desks at the CGCM for assistance.
Chapter II Main Benefits
Article 2 Registered members: Registered members are individuals who have spent less than RMB10,000 at the museum. These members will not be eligible to receive any discounts.
Article 3 Ordinary members: Ordinary members are individuals who have spent between RMB10,000 (inclusive) and RMB20,000 at the museum. These members are entitled to a 5% discount at Tingyuan Café and Yincui Tea House, on selected items at the Cultural and Creative Store, and on the rental of audio guides.
Article 4 Premium members: Premium members are individuals who have spent at least RMB20,000 at the museum. These members are entitled to a 10% discount at Tingyuan Café and Yincui Tea House, on selected items at cultural and creative shops, and on the rental of audio guides.
Chapter III Membership Points Acquisition Methods and Rules
Article 5 Members will receive 50 points upon registration.
Article 6 Members will earn 1 point for each visit to the museum, 2 points for participating in a major museum event, 2 points for attending a free social education activity, and 10 points for taking part in a paid research-based learning activity.
Article 7 Members will earn 1 point for every RMB1 spent in the following places or scenarios:
l Cultural and creative shops on the first and third floors (excluding precious metals and special items)
l Tingyuan Café or Yincui Tea House
l Rental of an audio guide (Points will not be awarded for the rental of more than 10 audio guides at a time)
Points will not be awarded for purchases made at Shifang Restaurant and the cultural and creative shop in Gallery 3 for the time being.
Points can be accumulated and will not be reset to zero.
Chapter IV Responsibilities and Obligations of Members
Article 8 Members shall actively participate in and support various member activities organized by the CGCM.
Article 9 Membership cards are for personal use only and are required to enjoy various privileges and benefits.
Article 10 Members are expected to promote the CGCM positively and refrain from posting any information or comments on the Internet that violate Chinese laws and regulations or that may be detrimental to the museum.
Chapter V Supplementary Provisions
Article 11 The CGCM may continuously update and refine this charter to enhance membership management and maintain order among members as its experience in membership management evolves through different stages.
Article 12 All members are required to complete the membership registration process and agree to all the content of the charter.
Article 13 This charter (for trial implementation) shall be effective from the date of announcement, and the final right of interpretation shall rest with the CGCM.
