Online exhibition at the China Grand Canal Museum|Born from the Canal - Impressions of Ancient Cities

Exhibition Introduction: The exhibition creates a hall with historical scenes and real business forms, allowing audiences to interact and experience. The exhibition restores historical street scenes and architectural spaces along the lines of time and space, introduces real business forms to display intangible cultural heritage projects, and interprets the history, society, economy, culture, and other aspects of the Grand Canal from a broad perspective. The exhibition is divided into four parts. The first part, “Prosperous Eastern Capital, Flourishing Bian Water,” depicts important cities along the Grand Canal during the Sui, Tang, and Song dynasties. The second, third, and fourth parts jointly present towns related to the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal and Zhejiang East Canal during the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. Through visual, tactile, gustatory, olfactory, and auditory experiences, the exhibition allows audiences to immerse themselves from multiple dimensions and embark on a journey through time and space.
